Crossworlds is all about connecting you with your friends face-to-face, not via endless video content, filtered photos, or walls of text. While other social apps try to keep you “engaged” for as many hours as possible, Crossworlds tries to help you get off your phone and into the real world whenever you’re able.


Send and accept invites

With Crossworlds, you can send quick, casual invites to the people in your life, commitment-free. Need a partner for your afternoon hike? Or someone to catch that new movie with? Send out an open invite or accept one from a friend!

Features:

• Organize your friends into separate groups called “worlds” (Ex. Friends, Family). You can then send invites to any world you want, or send invites to specific people.

• Use the app’s real-time text messaging to coordinate invites, as needed

• Think others would be interested in an invite? Forward it to one of your other friends!


Automated Video Chats

Many of us have friends and family we don’t usually get to hang out with in person. But that’s no sweat. Just provide the app your schedule and have Crossworlds automatically set-up the occasional video chat so that you never lose touch with the ones closest to you!

How it works:

• Every day, Crossworlds will try to schedule you a 15-minute chat with one of your friends (if you’ve enabled this feature for that particular friend). If youve told us youre available that day, youll get a notification in the morning about who weve matched you with and at what time.

• Cant chat that day or that time? No problem. Reschedule on the fly or cancel and save it for another day.

• Want to chat with a certain friend for longer than 15 minutes? Simply update your settings for that friend and pick a longer time.

• Dont have a chat scheduled? Thats not a problem either. You can start a video call with any of your friends whenever you want.


Why Crossworlds?

Despite the rise of social media, it seems harder than ever to connect with others. Our busy schedules (school, work, etc.) make it quite difficult to keep up with the people in our lives. And lets be honest, reaching out to others can be awkward, and often no one wants to make the "first move".

Thats where Crossworlds comes in. Weve designed the app (which we like to call, a “social sidekick”) to do the hard work of coordinating get-togethers and chats with the people you know, providing you a stress-free experience!
